She first began working as a consultant with TDA in 2000.  She has extensive experience and expertise in health care, having worked for numerous Minnesota-based health organizations, including Allina, Blue Cross, Mayo Clinic and others. She obtained her doctoral degree in 2011 with the goal of bringing more evidence-based  communication to the health care field. Her research focuses on health communication, particularly the connections between traditional media and new media (social media).

Maureen lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and three children, where they enjoy many kids’ activities including tennis, basketball, golf, soccer and many other activities. In her eternal quest to keep learning new things, she takes guitar lessons and recently produced her own album of original compositions.
